Question This will be last attempt to get IPOD answers

I made a thread a while back regarding what FM frequency tuners people are using for their ipods and cdr23 radio system. Through the info you guys have given me, all them basically are not adequate.

Now the question is, how many of you guys got a custom adapter installed(if it is possibly) onto you cdr23 radio headunit and have a wire coming out of your ashtry that hooks up to it?

Or what route can I go using the cdr23 headunit in directly plugging my ipod in?

The CDR-23 is all fiber optic right? Do you have the CD changer? Is the cable that connects the changer to the unit fiber or coax? I saw a guy who unplugged the wire to the out of the changer and hooked it up the the iPod. However, if it’s all fiber, this is not going to work.

Have you received any word from Denison on the iceLink for the cdr23? If it was me, I would honestly look into trying to make my own; however I am an electrical engineer and I just keep thinking this is doable. I mean if the Denison engineers can do it there has got to be a way. Its not like the data is encrypted or anything. I’m sure they are using some standard com protocol. It would be just finding the right A to D converter and getting all the right plugs. I know easier said then done.

CDR32 doesn't have an AUX in. I think its FM tuner or nothing. Its based on the MOST bus I think and its not anything that is commercial currently I think. And people are just trying to help. Sorry you're not getting the answer you want.

Get rid of the CDR-23, and look into a high quality aftermarket system like Pioneer or Alpine. Both offer iPod adapter kits.

I am running an iPod in my car, but I am using an Alpine D-901 with the digital interface between the radio and iPod.
