Body Part Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the body part that is at the top of the doors in the rear and sort of matches up with the front of the convertable top lid. It is sort of small and part of it is painted the body color and the other half is the same black as the trim that goes around the top at the front of the top "Clamshell". I am sorry but I dont know what this part is called. In my parts manual it shows how it is attached but I have looked and just can't figure out how to remove it. Thank you very much, Jerry Peterson
