Hi Beam Stalk...switch???

On my '98 - HI beam switch stopped working - all other functions on the stalk work fine - HI beams do work if Right blinker is on and if pulled rearward...any ideas on what to "replace" -- before I pull the steering wheel (and airbag)???

Thanks much in advance!

Unfortunately, the switch is part of a 3-switch column assembly-Turn/H beam - Wiper/Washer - Cruise. None of these are individually replaceable, the whole unit must be replaced. The PN# is 996.613.219.00.

Simple to do, you'll need a T-30 Torx and a 24mm socket to get the airbag and wheel off. Be sure to disconnect the battery and wait 5-min. before you do so you don't set off the airbag. Also, be sure to take care when pulling the airbag clockspring so you don't damage it. Should be an under 30-minute job.
