Trunk lights timing out?

How long will the trunks lights stay on before it goes out on its own? I have read many different times, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours in different forums. Which time is correct and were is it written in the owners manual or Porsche Service manuals?

Garage
In my drivers manual the info is on page 126 under "Load switch-off after 2 hours or five days"
If the key is removed the trunk light will extinguish after approx 2 hours.
If the vehicle is locked the loads are switched off after approximately 10 mins.
My manual is for a 99 Boxster.

Hope this answers your question.

Thank you

Here's a simple way to deterimine if your trunk light goes out when you close the trunk. Take your digital camera, turn off the flash and set the timer to 30 sec. Place the camera in the trunk and close. Open the trunk and check if the picture taken is black or an iluminated trunk.

A lot easier than checking the battery or hooking jumpers from the light to a meter.
