Lost on my last oil change....

I changed the oil on my Boxster last weekend. Put in fresh everything. Put in exactly 9.25 quarts of 0-40. It read full on the digital gauge and the dipstick was just over the max mark. I figured I needed to drive it to make sure it would still read full. It read 2 bars low after the first drive so I left it. After the second drive,2 days later it read full again.....I just drained out about 1 cup from the oil filter and the digital gauge still reads full....but the oil dipstick reads just at max. Any suggestions,do I leave it or drain more?

My money is on the dipstick being correct at least more consistant, I find the digital guage to be fussy (car angle etc).
I suppose for piece of mind you could drain another cup and re-check it.

Read "Boxster Oil Change (Capacity)" thread in General Discussion. That will answer all your questions.
