What do you pay for an oil change

$60-$80 is about right depending upon whether you find a discount on Oil & Filter for a DIY change.

But, 15 min. is too quick as the Porsche Factory Repair Manual recommends: " a dripping time of approx. 20 minutes. "

Add swapping the Filter, setting/removing the catch pan, oil refill, and you're looking at more like 30 min.

I buy my own oil (Redline 5W40) for about $9 quart. Take it to the dealership for the filter & oil change. They charge me about $125. So the total is about $197.

So, the cost per mile is less than 2 cents.

You are correct. I was just thinking of how many minutes I was fiddling with the car to do the work, not the time invested sitting in my deck chair, enjoying an adult beverage, admiring my car whilst the warm oil dripped out of the engine. I guess I gotta factor that in too!

My first Oil change I took it to a local porsche mechanic and he did it all for $135

I did my own 30K service for $197 (sparks,fuel filter,oil filter,oil..)

Id say find a local shop and negotiate if you dont do it your self
