Exclamation HELP: CEL + Smoke

My '02 Boxster with 34,500 miles just got its first CEL last evening on the way home from work... and, as with my other cars, I stopped at AutoZone to run the codes.

The code stated, "Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction"

Doesn't sound too bad, but when I started up this am, it looked like a cropduster as I backed out the driveway.

Does anyone have experience with the Secondary Air Injection System? Is there anything I need to be cautious of, as in DON'T DRIVE IT?

Hit me back, or send me a link, whatever, so I can sort this one out...

Thanks to all who helped on the last issue.
