Got my first real look at the PSE out of the box today and lo & behold...
Someone that has seen this PLEASE tell me the "dents" at the BLUE arrows are supposed to be there to clear something. They are symmetrical in shape and location, but it doesn't look like Porsche engineering at it's best.

CT986S, the workmanship looks equal to the PSE I have (different model year than you). I don't know about those dents, though. Someone here will know. You can also try sending an e-mail of that photo to Phil Coy at Suncoast Porsche.

Confirmed by my pal who had that same exhaust and said it is indeed normal. Says it is a clearance issue.

Maybe you know this and maybe not, but it takes a little while for a new exhaust to "burn-in". About 100 miles or so. When I had my PSE installed last year, I noticed a bad smell, and though something was wrong. I learned from a few people here and the dealership that the burn-in process is necessary.

Mine had the same dent so I called Suncoast (where it was purchased) and they confirmed it is supposed to be there. No big deal. No one will ever see it and it does not affect he functionality in any way.

The installation is pretty straightforward. It just bolts up where the old one came out. I struggled a bit with the the two upper bolts but that was because I didn't want to take the bumper off. I also tossed all the vacuum and electrical hookups for it. They open and shut the bypass valves at certain speeds. With it open all the time it is plenty quiet at lower rpm's.

I just say it's lame because it seems like cheesy engineering for an OEM sport part. I'm not worried about it being restrictive at stock horsepower levels.
