Largest Wheels possible?

Hi, i'm new the forum and looked around but can't find an answer to a simple question. I have a 2002 Boxster S and am looking to buy new wheels. Does anyone know the largest size wheels i can fit on the boxster without any rubbing or other fitting problems? I would like to go as big as possible (BUT want to be able to easily take the wheels on and off without having any other complex install problems). I read on here about spacers, etc which I don't know much about so maybe someone can explain if spacers are a good or bad thing? I would like to put 19's or 20's IF they fit. I would like to go as TALL as possible and as WIDE as possible so if anyone can give me the measurements that are the maximum I would appreciate it. The car currently is totally stock and I will not be lowering the ride height, etc. Also any info on the tires that will be needed to go along with the new large wheels would be a big help (lower profile needed i assume?)Thanks for any info guys, its apprecaited.

I would say stick with 19", not 20". I dont think 20z will fit. Your best bet would be to call someone at TIRERACK.com, or I think someone here knows a Carlos @ wheeldynamics who is very knowledgeable.

The shorter the crush space between the road and the rim, the more probable the next pothole or speed bump will damage the tire and rim.

The suspension is designed with a certain amount of compliance from the tire presupposed. Changing from a 17 to a 10 or 20 changes the characteristics of the tire.

Likewise, the suspension is designed with a certain amount of stagger (difference between the front and rear tire widths) to maximize the safe handling characteristics. The amount of grip supplied by the front and rear tires is critical to not spinning the car in adverse conditions. Change those parameters and you risk many of the aspects designed into the porsche cars.

Of course, if you want the "ricer" look or the "pimp my ride" look, ignore the above cautions.

I have 19s on my 99 Boxster. I have had them for over a year.
The tire sizes are 235 35 19 and in the rear 275 30 19

My car is lowered about 2 inches front and rear.
