Muffler or Exhaust

I am looking for a muffler for my 02 porsche boxster S I just want a slightly deeper sound. Anyone have any recommendations?

several threads out there on this one. go through and read them, listen to some sound clips on youtube, etc.

It is largely subjective. There are many different "mouse traps" out there for our cars and many price points also.

If you are a PCA member, try to find some guys locally that have done it and see if you can hear their cars/do a ride along.

I have a B&B and like it, but I got it because I got a great deal on it. If money was no object, I'd probably go for the Fabspeed full exhaust with sport cats. If money is a factor, maybe Che's exhaust.

Ya I have been looking like crazy, the fabspeed seems the cheapest because it includes new headers and exhaust all together for 1500.00 whereas mufflers alone are like 700, seems like the difference is not much to just go all out. Im gonna look up the other names now thanks! How does your BandB sound not ricer and loud in the cabin right? I still want to enjoy my ride.

I think you're mixing it up about the Fabspeed. The fabspeed catback exhaust is $1500 by itself. Their headers are $2200.

chaudanova is right. the 1500 is sport cats/exhaust, the headers are on top of that.

i have a video of the BandB on youtube if you search by jwilson95.

I like it overall. Give a little more sound in the car and I've been behind it driving my buddy's car and I think it sounds better (unfortunately) to everyone else around me.

There is some hum in the 2400-2900 RPM range when cruising but not unbearable at all.

Didn't like the sewing machine/non existent sound of the stock unit. Obviously, the aftermarkets are lighter too.

Farsi, I would recommend the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE). Here is a link to 2 of them:

Hi Patrick, what has caused you to make this decision? Thanks.
