Do the '97 models display the outside temp?

I have a quick question, does the '97 model display the outside temperature? I just picked up another Boxster today and I notice that it doesn't have display the temp like my '99 model. So if anyone with a '97 or '98 model could let me know if your box is the same, or if anyone can chime in, please let me know.

Thanks

HB,

It depends. Check your passenger side front radiator grill. If it has a temperature sensor, you should be able to get it turned on at the dealer :

Hope this helps...

Some of the '97 models did not have the temp sensor. Look up front and it is easily visible in the right grille. (I think it's the right) I you don't have the sensor you will see a holder (hole) for it on the plastic grille insert. Mine does not have the sensor. So doing the OBC hack for temp will not work for my car.
