Engine Misfire

Hi

A cry for help from across the water !!

I have a 2000 'S', with about 49K miles on. Time for a service - usual oil and filters change, new spark plugs, and took throttle body off to give it a clean. Afterwards, it started OK, but wouldn't run up to any speed, felt like it was mis-firing, and engine 'CHECK' light came on. I thought I might not have located one of the coils correctly, so went through them all to check, but to no avail. I do wonder if they're connected correctly, as they didn't really 'click' when I pushed them on. Is there a technique to this ?

Could it be that one of the new plugs is faulty - they're Bosch and came with the OEM service pack ? Or have I done something silly somehow ?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
