Question Where to get new rotors /pads for 01 S

My brake wear lights has been on and of since I got her 5 months/ 4800mls ago. Now it seem to be steady on. Local independent did some work 1.5 mo ago and told me both rotors and pads need replacement.

I need help for locating a good street set for decent price. I'm willing to do the work, but recommendations are welcome for the parts.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dealer cost + 15%.

I'd use them for the rotors.

Dude call up your local auto zone or auto parts store. Chances are they have slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads that are pretty much the same and 5x less money. We do this for all our hummer limos, escalade, navigator, lincolns, our bmw z3, its way cheaper and often the same thing. They'll have several options for you to choose from probably too.

pteam,

Good idea, but I doubt that you would be able to pick up genuine Porsche parts ( Brembo ) at the local places. Brakes are one thing I definitely don't want to skimp on

There is a sensor on each set of pads that will wear thru if you let the pads go to far. The sensors are cheap $12 or so. You might want to pull the wheels and see how many you need. They are essentially a wire so as long as they aren't cut through they will last the life of your car.

Epiq (a sponsor of this board) has some pretty good pricing on pads but since you are in Canada the shipping and duty from the states may make it cost prohibitive to buy them in the states. I have seen some Canadian distributors selling Zimmermans on eBay with good pricing. Run a search there and don.t forget to search eBay stores as well. A lot of vendors don't list everything for auction every week.

I tried Auto Zone and they didn't have anything in stock. It all had to be ordered and I found it would be cheaper to go online.
