If you look at the Boxster intake design it's already a 'cold air' system, bringing in air from the outside not from the engine compartment.
That kit is overkill.

that and there's really not that much heat to get rid of in a normally aspirated car.
the process of pressurizing the manifold air via supercharger / turbocharger really heats up the air (pV = nRT). intercoolers help; the kits you're looking at are designed to increase the intercooler's ability to do its job. it would do almost nothing on NA cars.
Unless you've turbocharged or supercharged your Boxster, you don't have an intercooler to spray...
Also, adding a CO2 cooler to your fuel line would be rather silly if that's all you were doing with CO2. If you've already got a nitrous system on your car, perhaps then you might consider something like that.
How is the existing Boxster intake system "cold air" ? I thought the two vents on the Boxster suck air into the engine bay and push air out ? Isn't the air filter still pulling air from the engine bay ? If it's 100 degrees out, wouldn't the engine be sucking in warm air ?

the airbox draws air directly from the left vent. the right vent is heat exhaust.

Nick,
When you go home tonight look through the driver side intake vent. You should be able to see the air intake system,it's a square shaped box thing-a-bob that should have this tube leading from it(you won't have the tube if you've desnorkeled). Despite the system stills being in the engine compartment it's considered a 'cold air' design because it's a closed off from the engine heat all the way to the throttle body.
