Changing the muffler

I ordered a new muffler for my Boxster and have a couple of questions about the install on a 99' 5-spd;

Are the fasteners on the exhaust clamps easy to remove?

Are there any special tools that you guys recommend to get the job done fast?

How do I test the exhaust to ensure that it's not leaking after I install the new muffler?

I recently did this on my 02S and can send you some good pics if you PM me. Should be roughly the same procedure and I can give you some tips.
