If you going to put an oil based air filter in make sure you take PERFECT care of it;

-Most are oiled from the Manu., some people over oil it thinking they need to be.

-Don't even attempt to clean/re-oil it,just replace it,too many people over oil them.

Even if it does ruin your MAF,it can be anywhere from $190(97-99' non e-gas) to lower to mid $200s(00'+ e-gas) and 30 minutes of D.I.Y. labor,provided that you can remove the engine access cover.

This has been covered here many times,many of us have replaced our MAF due to aftermarket air filters,me being one.
