XM Radio kit and installation

I'm looking on ebay for the kit needed to install the XM Radio and the satellite radio itself. Has anyone done it?

I have installed the XM Commander in my Boxster.

I chose this system due to the compact design and lack visible wires.

I have the antenna mounted on the dash to the left of the sensor.

If you can mount the antenna on a metal surface, you will experience less drop outs, but is ok if you don't

I couldn't find a place on the outside of the car that looked good.

The XM Commander and the Roady use the smallest antenna available on the market. Its about 2" long and 1 1/2" wide by just over 1/2" tall.

I mounted mine controller where the upper storage bin was and velcroed the FM modulator and tuner to the top of the lower bin.

I ran the antenna wire long the right side of the dash under the door seal, between the a pillar trim and the dash and along the base of the windshield.

The installation is clean, no wires are visible, the antenna appears to float on the dash as does the controller mounted on its panel.

I have pictures of the installation on this site in the Show and Tell section under 2004 XM Satellite Install
