Rubber headlight gasket

Just a suggestion for Pelican parts. You might want to look into who makes the rubber headlight gasket. The only way to get them new is to buy a complete headlight. There's lots of headlights that only need new gaskets. Most of the headlights I come across have either gummy or cracked gaskets.

If Pelican found a way to source those seals, that would be amazing! The seals have a part number printed on them, but it doesn't appear to be linked to anything. If it helps, here are two pictures of the markings on the passenger side headlight seal, I took when I swapped mine out

That part number is not a valid number in the Porsche parts database, but at least it gives us a direction to go in. I'm having our catalog department dig into this and I will report back with our findings. Thanks for posting those pictures.

Luccia, There's another part that you may want to look into also. The front plastic bow on the headliner breaks a lot. Nobody sells it individually and the only way to get one is to buy a whole new top. Someone out there is making them new for the replacement tops but not selling them

Agree, could use a couple sets of headlight rubbers myself.
And while virtually nobody is willing to fork over the minimum $700 for a new set of lights just because their rubber is bad, I would bet many a more comprehensive restoration or rebuild has been back-burnered over the lack of these. So for Pelican, it might stimulate secondary sales as well.
And certainly the potential buyer pool is enormous. Don't know why the market hasn't already filled this gap.

I've been looking for a set of these since installing Fred's projectors. I'm using the Frost King gasket material as a temporary "solution" for now but would love to go with something that was made to fit.

This may not be something that can be found at this point, but would have to be manufactured. I'll keep you all updated if we decide to take this venture. If any of you find more info please pass it along my way. Thanks!

Keep me posted too! I have the Litronic headlights...in case the gasket/seal is different for those than the standard lights.
