Hope everyone is healthy and safe. I just wanted to share one of my favorite events of the year! It brought a very needed smile to my face.

are they sweeping the salt off the roads?

Yes.. yearly street cleaning.

You would be amazed how much gravel and crap is all over the roads by spring. Especially on residential roads that aren't heavily trafficked.

Many won't bring their cars (other than daily) out until the salt has been cleared. Personally I'll take mine out if it's rained throughly and wash the salt away

Normally this time of the yr the streets in OMA have a 6" thread of gravel along each side. The street cleaners come in Apr and make the streets look new. But we only had 1 snow fall of any significance. The rest of them were of the 1-2" variety that barely stayed on the ground. We might be able to skip the cleaning and save some $$$ for something else.

But spring is coming! I may need to mow my lawn soon.
