He's in critical but stable condition with a severe diffuse axonal injury.

The broadcast didn't show this but they showed the track as being under local caution. The flagger above the incident was waving yellow until they picked up the first car and started to move, but they were still on the run off when he switched to green. He should have been waving yellow until they pulled back behind the wall but, he's waving a green? Right after the Bianchi hit they went full course yellow Safety car he didn't start waving the yellow+SC flag until a second official climbed the tower did he loose communications. It was a nasty hit to lift a probably 12000 # high lift of the ground

I was enjoying a cigar and adult beverage last night on the screen porch while watching the race via DVR, afterwards I came in and poked around the net to find the same video TO referenced above, freaking brutal. I thought for sure the poor guy was decapitated after seeing it.

Not sure if how many saw but Jules died from the injuries sustained from this accident Friday 7/17. The race community attended his funeral 7/21 in Nice

Anyone else feels they need more run-off areas? Or just me?

Thank God he's alive
