Boxster Picture Game Thread 2012!

Well, this is not going very well. I've received no response from deptotpr about the picture they posted, and I'm not sure what this random picture from human986 is doing in the thread.

So here's my solution: deptotpr's posting will be ignored, as will silentfrosty's response in front of the Starbucks. What I am going to ask instead is for silentfrosty to post up another challenge (just reply after this with your next challenge in bold), and we'll go from there. So for now, points have only gone to silentfrosty for the library picture.

I'll probably speak to one of the moderators to eliminate the above posts that aren't relevant so that people, myself included, don't get confused. If there are anymore random or irrelevant posts that start showing up, I'm going to have them deleted, period.

I don't want to be a jerk about this, but I really have to ask that people please read the friggin' rules, and understand and follow them, before posting. If there is anything in there that is confusing to you, then PM me for some clarification. I feel it's pretty straightforward and simple, and things seemed to go fine last year, so I'd like that to continue.

I also have to agree with Spinnaker, as I rarely venture into the off-topic thread since there's a lot of stuff there I'd rather not bother reading. I know this doesn't fall into general discussion per se, but the original thread never got moved (please don't do it now), and the threads with the most visibility are routinely in General Discussion and Technical, and don't always get moved even if they don't necessarily belong in said categories. I'd appreciate if it could be moved back to General.

When you are on this Zuffenhausen page, just scroll down to the bottom of the page to see who the current moderators are.
Or...., how about this idea. Just start a new thread with the picture challenge in a "different" place.
If they don't like it in the General Discussion section, start one in the Show and Tell Gallery. It does say "Post a picture of your car here" doesn't it?

This is true Spinnaker...I think I'll give it another shot tonight and put it there.

Maybe time periods should also be longer... Let's say 5 to 7 days for competitors to hunt a picture + after that couple days to save the earned point.

End of this month I'm going to start my driving season, so I'm hoping that the game is warmed up before it

Thanks for the suggestion, ketsa. I think we'll see how things go with the new challenge thread (it's in the pictures section now) goes and if it picks up like the original did. This one's not going to be used any longer because it wasn't working where it got placed.
