I think its interesting how Guy Fawkes has been re-cast recently as a anti-government hero instead of the traitor whose death has been celebrated for centuries.

I haven't seen any historical revisionist movement regarding Fawkes. He was simply a religious zealot who failed at his attempt to overthrow the Church of England and was punished for it. He has little to no acknowledgement or historical relevance outside of England. And little or none there since the 17th century. He is, in effect, but a blip on the landscape of religious history. BUT if the mere mention of him can stop the multitude from discussing the IMS, long enough for some to forget about it for a while, I'm all for calling him a military genius and the founder of the world wide web.
