Any scotch drinkers out there?

Wifey got me a bottle of Glenlivet Nadura for Valentine's day. If that's not love, I don't know what is. Damn fine bottle, but my fave still is the Glenlivet French Oak Reserve. The Nadura really packs a punch and maintains smoothness, but it doesn't have the depth/variety of flavor that the FOR has.

I want to drink scotch. but to be honest not sure how to start. As of now im a rum drinker. (and none of that white rum crap, navy rum)

Speyside single malts are good starting point

We drove up to Oban and took the ferry to South Uist in the Inner Hebrides (about eight hours or more). There's a causeway that joins the three islands, South Uist, Beneculla and North Uist. From North Uist you take a ferry to Skye (an hour). We stayed at Portree and there I tried the local malt, Talisker. A balance of sweetness and peatiness. I drank rather a lot.
