Time to Start fixing a Boxster !

hello All

New Member here.

Nice to meet you all .

Bit of History .
Im a 911 owner ( air cooled ) Rebuilt engine from tear down rebuilt engines on Audi ( B7 and B8 ) , taught professional troubleshooting techniques for quite a few decades.

Helped on rebuilding a 996 engine but didn't do it myself so I am a little weak on that platform.

My son just bought a cheap high Mileage Boxster S and it definitely needs work but thought price of entry gives us room to do some work.

Will likely chime in for recent info on threads until i can start doing the projects and contribute myself.

Any questions or comments or advice to new owner , lets hear them

first projects:
1. Add second key.
2. Replace variocam pads with engine in car as engine has codes and rattles on startup ( yes its parked ) ( i know a real PITA )
3. Likely send in for IMS bearing and clutch.

cheers boys
