A Bentley Manual has 99% of what you need to maintain a 986. Also handy is the Pelican 101 projects book. I owned both but sold them along with my Boxster back in August.

Have a copy of the 101 projects book nearby if you want to look one over pre-purchase, or borrow.

Thank you for the recommendations. I see the first two replies both mention the Pelican 101 projects book, so has my attention out of the gate.
