Hi,

Long time reader, first time poster.

I have a 2001 2.7L Boxster (93k miles), which I have owned since 2007. I have carried out a few mods/repairs, but mostly the local garage gets to service it and make the major repairs.

I keep it on the road all year round and use it most weeks.

A short list of mods/recent jobs:

Speaker upgrade to the rear (abut 2009);
New front bumper after a deer ran out in front of me
New hood - fitted about 4 years ago;
Double DIN Android Stereo (2019), TPMS, Hands free, Satnav, etc;
Rear discs and calipers painted (2020);
Various bits of chrome trim;
Paint touch up (almost every year);
CTEK Battery Sense & Solar panel to keep the battery topped up/monitored
New CATs and O2 Sensors (2021).

This photo was taken when replacing the rear discs and painting the calipers.

I currently have a rough running problem, but will post in the tech section for some help.

Robin

Greetings from across the pond. I too have a 2001 2.7L as well. Also a daily driver and kept outdoors year round. She was wrecked and repaired fairly poorly but mechanically was as sound as a whistle. In fact, other than a crank /no start issue a while back she hasn't really given me a moments problem in all the years I've owned her. Good luck with the rough running, you'll figure it out.

Them

Thanks.

Today I stripped out the plugs on one side, all looked good, but two of the coils had hairline cracks, so I am going to get new coils and plugs and fit next weekend.

I did clean the coils and plugs, put it back together and took it for a short test drive, definitely improved, so with new coils and plugs I should be back to normal.

Robin
