Angry Annoying Speed Limit with no OBC Stalk

Hi - I just took delivery of my 2001 S and the speed limit beeps at 20mph. How do I change/disable this feature without upgrading to the OBC / Turn Signal combo stalk?
Thanks!

I have OBC, so I don't know how you would do it otherwise

dumb question, have you checked the owners manual?

ok, this is a confession of newbiness - the control toggles for the OBC are located left of the radio and have small snowflake-like icons on them. I thought they were the headlamp washers and thus never touched them to avoid spraying the car.

To my defense, the owner's manual lists only the stalk control ..

You have nothing to confess. What you describe is the OBC Hack using buttons. It would not have been in the owners manual. You actually get some props for figuring out that those buttons were running your OBC.
