				Just here to have fun...

I am a car enthusiast and am here to check out a new platform. A buddy of mine just picked up an 02 Boxster and I have had fun researching it. I have always been a Mustang guy and own 3. Its never bad to broaden your spectrum though.

				 bottom line is having fun

Welcome to the forum of car enthusiasts dedicated to the Porsche Boxster ! and like anything else we all grew up breathing and adrmiring cars of different sorts.. i in particular had the experience of driving the older mustangs from 66 to the 70Boss. but now am a proud owner of an 04 Boxster S for quite a few years now...
don't usually drive the car in the Winter so it feels like i always have a new toy every Spring... and let me tell you this car is one fun car to drive and to own!
good luck and enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the welcome. Like I said I like all cars, but LOVE Mustangs but I like to learn about many different platforms and whatnot.

Greetings from another (former) Mustang pilot. That's one sweetly modded ride you've got there. Mine stayed bone-stock. It was too perfect to mod at 20+ years old.

Welcome and impressive ride you have there. From the looks of it you decided to go turbo instead of supercharger, that is really interesting. Just curious could you tell us how much power your mustang has. My semi educated guess is in the 4s.
Also its good to know that there are people that are open to learn about other cars and just have a broad view of the automotive world.

Nothing wrong with seeing car porn from another maker...and your mustang really fits the word porn as that is sex on wheels! Love the attention to detail and execution.
 Thanks for posting and welcome!

That will certainly get the job done. What suspension mods do you have to keep that car hooking up?

As a previous owner of multiple mustangs:
68 GT - Still not happy that I got rid of it
1990 GT Convertible - Had a ton of mods and was scary fast. Got hit head on and totaled, or would still have. Thank god for air bags.
1999 base convertible - fun, but no power
2003 GT Convertible - Again fun, but was feeling dated when I got rid of it.

Now I have a 03 S, and while I admire Mustangs (yours is a beauty), and will one day have another 68 just for nostalgia purposed, for actual driving there is no comparison to the Bosxter. It doesn't have the straight line speed that your Mustang will have (can't stand calling it a 'Stang, it's like hearing someone call the Porsche a Porsh) the handling is what really completes the package.

Like many have said before though...nice looking ride!

Broadening our horizons is exactly my friend...I just purchased my first Mustang (first Ford really), an 08 Saleen 281SC, dark candy apple red--->and loving every bit of it!
Get a Boxster, you will love it also for what it is!!!!!

Btw, your stang is sic...giving me some cues on improving the S197. First off, I NEED hood pins, and am debating over the UPR's or Shelby's. What you think?
