White 2003 2.7 newbie

Hi All,

I picked up a great deal on a 2003 base boxster. I have never driven a car like it, it is just awesome. First things that I did were a full service through Porsche, Cup brake ducts (they are huge!), full re-upholster of the seats with an update look and finer perforation and the good old amberectomy.

I have a gemballa exhaust waiting for me at Porsche (already buddies with the service manager there) and will be installed in the next month.

Silver 'S' door pulls are currently being shipped to upgrade the interior.

I have a big list for suspension and other upgrades - Where do we stop???

Nice color! Doubt they made that many in white for the 03-04 production.

Thanks guys, good to be part of the group. I have attached a picture of the day they were done. You will see a few gaps around the middle cushion and lines where the leather sits up on the seat backs - the leather has relaxed a fair bit now, has flattened down and fits really well. We went with a finer perforation like that on the new 991 interior for the mid section and used a similar design to the 987 to give the seats a more modern look. I will have to take some better pictures outside now that the leather has formed into place around the cushions and the seat backs. They feel really good to sit in now.

I agree on the colour - it is really quite rare for that model year in the white in Australia - I have only seen some earlier models in the white locally, never for the '03/04.
