I was also going to look at a 99 boxster,1 owner with 21,000 miles, with service records no ims replacement. that asking price should be thousands less. so first is the price for the 03 s fair? second, I haven't driven the 99 yet( it is 2 1/2 hours away) but are there huge differences between the 2 cars? it may be a naive question but I have to ask.thanks.
You need to find out who replaced the IMS and with what part. If replaced with a Porsche IMS bearing, it will likely need to be replaced again.
I would go with 03-04 over a 99 if you can find one for a good price. 22,577 seems high. Is it an S model?
