Still having idle speed issues. Finally got around to checking for vacuum leaks and found one. The lower hose to AOS was not connected securely. Got it connected and the idle seemed to stabilize but was still idling faster than I think it should, 900 rpm. cel light still there. Took short road trip, 250 miles, car ran great, 26 mpg. CEL wouldn't go away by itself, I don't have access to a code reader that will let me turn the CEL off, so when I got home I disconnected the battery for 10 seconds, started the engine and now it is idling very fast, 1200 rpm when warm and about 1600 rpm when cold. And the fuel mileage has dropped. I'm at a loss. I had a Vette that did almost the same thing and found out the throttle position sensor was bad. Does the Boxster have a TPS, cause I can't find it?? And does anybody have an idea of what is causing this. Like I have said before, here in the Texas panhandle I can't find any place that has a code reader that will recognize the Boxster.
