Hi all I have a 2003 boxster s and whilst driving today i started smelling burning so i pulled over and got out i could see smoke coming from the front of the car i lifted the hood and the smoke was coming from under the plastic cover to the right of the battery i got that off and found out it was the under bonnet interior light that was melted alot of the wire was exposed so the copper had been touching metal, it stopped smoking and melting i taped it up and drove a bit further stopped checked it, it didnt smoke again, but since then now my interior door lights dont work or any of my instrument guages like both speedos,rev counter /fuel gauge and temp gauge , the odometre works tho im baffled iv checked all fuses and all ok but these things dont work has anyone got a clue, need help many thanks
