Talking Members: Whose Boxster haven't we had up yet?

Whose Boxster has not been up on the site yet in the header? If you let me know and have a good shot of your Boxster, preferrably a side angled shot, I will put you up there. I'd like to rotate the shots a bit more often, but we don't really have that many members to choose from. So if you have been left out, please reply to this thread so we can get you out of the closet.....er......garage.

We may also have to start putting up some of the ones we have had up there in the past if there are not enough new ones to go around.

why not create a picture GIF. This will change the pic every few secs, get around 15 boxster pics re-size them and load them into an animated gif. It will show everyone car for a few secs then move on.

Thats a good idea 986. Umm, if you would like I will send in a couple more pics of my car and some side shots. I wish I had some better pics. I will this spring. But, if you want to have my car in the header I would be honored.

Animated gif idea

The animated gif idea sounds a bit too busy to me, I think that kind of thing can get rather annoying after awhile -- like about 5 minutes max. Besides I don't know how to do that kind of thing to tell you the truth. I am sure I could figure it out, you can probably do those in Photoshop. I really don't have time to get into it that much.

Anyway, if you have pics of your cars and want to be up there on the site, just post them in the Show and Tell section, I will work with acceptable images from there. That has been working out fine for us and I am glad to do that for the board.

Nice!

Funny how you put my nickname on the plate as it was my license plate on my Lexus before I sold it. I was going to keep it for the next car but had 2 others at the time and wasn't buying anything new so I turned them in and now it's no longer available.

Just seemed like the place to put it since you had your license plate number blurred out and that didn't look too good in the photo.

Hey mjbliemel,

Here is a better pic if you want to put it up top. This is with my new Sport Techno wheels with the Anniversary edition 5mm spacers all around and my new window tint.

I have alot more great pics, but this one is good for the top corner.

My back window is plastic. It's a 2000 "S" with 18,000 miles now. The warranty was extended to 8/2005 so I don't want to do anything drastic to sacrifice it, but the "show" mods are ok, especially since I'm only using genuine Porsche parts.

P986, if you want glass from the factory, it's gotta be 03 or 04 just in case you weren't aware.

yer i knew that i wasnt sure if his was a a newer model. Its just i had my windows tinted really black as my car is black it looks great. The reason i asked if the window was glass as it wasnt tinted but like mine you cant do it to platic. I mean noone can see you its still very black inside but you always get the od kid running to the car trying to look in lol.

nice wheels buy the way! i like em!
