Members: Whose Boxster haven't we had up yet?

Whose Boxster has not been up on the site yet in the header? If you let me know and have a good shot of your Boxster, preferrably a side angled shot, I will put you up there. I'd like to rotate the shots a bit more often, but we don't really have that many members to choose from. So if you have been left out, please reply to this thread so we can get you out of the closet.....er......garage.

We may also have to start putting up some of the ones we have had up there in the past if there are not enough new ones to go around.

jfmillr 02-16-2004 06:07 AM

My car with all of its body mods will be out of the shop either at the end of this week or begining of next, I will post some photos. Haven't had mine put up there yet :)

porsche986 02-16-2004 06:16 AM

why not create a picture GIF. This will change the pic every few secs, get around 15 boxster pics re-size them and load them into an animated gif. It will show everyone car for a few secs then move on.

Adam 02-16-2004 02:38 PM

Thats a good idea 986. Umm, if you would like I will send in a couple more pics of my car and some side shots. I wish I had some better pics. I will this spring. But, if you want to have my car in the header I would be honored.

Stryke 02-16-2004 02:43 PM

If you want, I posted pics of mine after the GT3 kit install. Next week I'll also have my new wheels! :)

porsche986 02-16-2004 02:50 PM

yea wouldnt it be great, looking forward to see your car also stryke. hey adam i will check my email and see if i got your boxster if i have i will post it under the pics section for ya :)

mjbliemel 02-16-2004 06:29 PM

Animated gif idea

The animated gif idea sounds a bit too busy to me, I think that kind of thing can get rather annoying after awhile -- like about 5 minutes max. Besides I don't know how to do that kind of thing to tell you the truth. I am sure I could figure it out, you can probably do those in Photoshop. I really don't have time to get into it that much.

Anyway, if you have pics of your cars and want to be up there on the site, just post them in the Show and Tell section, I will work with acceptable images from there. That has been working out fine for us and I am glad to do that for the board.

mjbliemel 02-17-2004 04:29 AM

Thanks Stryke!

Thanks Stryke, you're on display now dude!

porsche986 02-17-2004 09:55 AM

it would look nice an animated gif but your right it would be tricky.

Nice! :D

Funny how you put my nickname on the plate as it was my license plate on my Lexus before I sold it. I was going to keep it for the next car but had 2 others at the time and wasn't buying anything new so I turned them in and now it's no longer available. :(

mjbliemel 02-18-2004 02:34 AM

Just seemed like the place to put it since you had your license plate number blurred out and that didn't look too good in the photo.

Stryke 02-18-2004 08:17 AM

I just got the new wheels on with the spacers and they look amazing! :)

I'll take some pics shortly and get them up here! :ah:

Stryke 02-18-2004 12:36 PM

Hey mjbliemel,

Here is a better pic if you want to put it up top. This is with my new Sport Techno wheels with the Anniversary edition 5mm spacers all around and my new window tint. :)

I have alot more great pics, but this one is good for the top corner. :D

porsche986 02-18-2004 02:22 PM

what year is this? is your back window plastic or glass?

Stryke 02-18-2004 02:38 PM

My back window is plastic. It's a 2000 "S" with 18,000 miles now. The warranty was extended to 8/2005 so I don't want to do anything drastic to sacrifice it, but the "show" mods are ok, especially since I'm only using genuine Porsche parts. :D

Adam 02-18-2004 02:44 PM

P986, if you want glass from the factory, it's gotta be 03 or 04 just in case you weren't aware.

porsche986 02-18-2004 02:52 PM

yer i knew that i wasnt sure if his was a a newer model. Its just i had my windows tinted really black as my car is black it looks great. The reason i asked if the window was glass as it wasnt tinted but like mine you cant do it to platic. I mean noone can see you its still very black inside but you always get the od kid running to the car trying to look in lol.

nice wheels buy the way! i like em!

Stryke 02-18-2004 02:56 PM

Thanks! :)

I posted a ton of pics in the show and tell section.

Charlie's Boxster

Very nice Charlie, yours will be the next to go up then.

mjbliemel 02-21-2004 05:08 AM

RE: Need more colors up there

Charles, we have had some others up there, but the majority of Boxsters on the board are arctic silver ya know!

Had a burgundy, a yellow, a black, a seal grey, I think the rest were all AS. I have a folder of all the ones I put up so far (not including mine). Here they are. Actually I think there may have been a few more, I remember the green one was there too once. And we had a dark blue one too.

porsche986 02-21-2004 05:26 AM

mjbliemel i have just seen the pic of your car, its nice, i love the wheels. Are they chrome plated? do you know how long it took me to find a set of boxster wheels chrome plated, i couldnt, i got some shipped from france but they arnt like yours.

They look really smart on your boxster! thumps up! ;)

What you should do is put one pic of each boxster from a user in once place.

CharlesGordon 02-21-2004 05:42 AM

Zenith Blue should be a no-brainer, along with Rainforest Green. Anyone? Maybe a white, too.

markk 02-21-2004 06:16 AM

Look at :

http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=749923

There is a nice SY BoxsterS with hardtop photo. If you want better quality, drop me an email at mrkinternet@planet.nl

Mark.

mjbliemel 02-22-2004 02:13 AM

We had Fijster's white one up there very recently. I have these imags scattered around, still have to get them all into one place. There were a few others we have put up. We may have to make a page that is just a gallery of those shots, that might be kinda cool to do.

mjbliemel 02-22-2004 02:15 AM

Yeah I like the chrome wheels as well, they go well with AS. Some people seem to think it's tacky, but I think they look better than stock on an AS, and probably on a black Boxster. The car came with them.

thompson1020 03-31-2004 06:03 PM

here's my new Boxster, 2000 Ocean Blue.... please put 'er up there!

http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpubimage.asp?id_=8374563

I have other pics that I should be able to get online soon if you wish, but this is a decent side angle pic... sorry about the date being in there, easy to photoshop-out.

mjbliemel 03-31-2004 06:50 PM

Thompson, I will have to try and remember to get yours up there next. Probaby will be the one that goes up for May. PM me if I forget.

Easy to crop that date out, no problem. I have the image, so I will probably remember to do it for May.

Very nice BTW!

jfmillr 04-01-2004 06:02 AM

Be nice to get mine up there one of these days.....guess mine doesnt look too much like a typical boxster though, anymore....

Pilot2519j 04-19-2004 05:57 PM

I posted a picture in the forum already.

thompson1020 04-30-2004 03:43 AM

remember to post my pic up for May!!!

thanks

Pilot2519j 04-30-2004 04:41 PM

When do you think the pic of my car be up?
The Pilot

mjbliemel 04-30-2004 10:09 PM

Thompson, I had it ready to go and for some reason I wasn't able to get it to open the file anymore. Will have to look into it tomorrow. Sorry.

EDIT: OK, fixed it. Should be fine now.

mjbliemel 05-01-2004 01:15 PM

JF, we will get yours up in time, not to worry. It looks awesome BTW. We have lots of silver ones, so the next few will be non-silver ones to give others a chance to see theirs up there.

Pilot, same thing. It will be up there sometime, but there are others that will come before yours as well. Hang in there, it'll be there one of these days.

Pilot2519j 05-07-2004 01:54 PM

I Roger that.
