Full Electric Seats

I purchased a pair of full electric seats from a 2004 Boxster and would like to replace my manual seats in my 2002. At first glance the passenger seat looks like the main connector is compatible but the drivers seat has much more electronic hardware including a printed circuit board directly under the front part of the seat. It definitely doesn't look like a plug and play and I was wondering if anyone has done this conversion. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jack

I'm putting full power 12 way 9x7 seat in my 986. The seats have "black boxes" ...no way to use it. you have to by pas it. There's a nice DYI here somewhere here and on Pelican.

It a nasty job so I've decide to bypass everything and simply instal toggle switches.

Regards, PK

Did the full power seats you bought memory seats? If so there are quite a few differences, but you could make them work with enough $

I faced the same problem a few years back. I finally removed the leather and foam from the new seat and put it on the old frame and sold the electronic bits from the new seats on eBay for $400.

Way too much work to make a memory driver's seat work in a non-memory seat configured Boxster for me, especially when I never move the seat and no one drives the car but me.

I put a set of sport seats in place of my memory seats for a time, but they hurt my back, so I am back to the comforts. The sport seats look better, but the bolsters stick into my shoulder blades at just the wrong point.
