A word on rotors...recommendations/suggestions?
Plan to replace my rotors this fall (2003S). I will put on EBC Yellow Stuff pads and looking for suggestions on replacement rotors. Have used OEM and Zimmerman on the Audi A6...happy so far with the Zimmerman - hated the OEM...warped after 40K.

Last weekend I put on the R1Concepts cross/drilled and they look/perform beautifully. Very high quality and the shipping/sale was great (no affiliation) Got my pads from them too!

Ditto on the Zimmerman, that's what I have been using on my 2001 and have been very happy.

ditto on the R1 concepts rotors
Why the EBC yellow stuff? I read a lot of bad reviews for them, that they fade real quickly on the track.
My favorite street/track brake pad hybrid are the Porterfields R4-S which work great on the track and have no squeal on the street

Cquence cross-drilled rotors and EBC Redstuff pads. Great combo with excellent initial bite, no fade at the track, and very little brake dust.

I've actually ordered a set (4) of cquence cross-drilled rotors including a ceramic pad kit (8). Cquence haven't directly recommend this combo.... I've just assumed that they wouldn't sell a complete kit that doesn't work! haha
Should feedback on the product in about two weeks.
* I would be interested to hear what pad works in ref to stability in all situations e.g. rain, dry, cold, hot, very hot
Ceramic pads, Organic, Metallic, Semi........ ??

I just put on new rotors and pads. I went with the Pagid 'Sport' (RS 4-2-1) and like them so far. Amazing grip and no noise.
Now for rotors I went with Raybestos.... we'll see how those hold up, bested expectations so far.

I bought my EBC Redstuff pads from Auto Parts Warehouse. Just ordered a replacement set so I have them when I need them. Free shipping.

bought them for the track and then changed his mind.
