Any GBBG's thinking about TBHL?

Anyone in the GBBG thinking about making the trip? Better yet shipping thier car to California and taking in the drive to TBHL?

Well, that's just insane to me. When I moved here from California I think they wanted about $1,000 for a one-way car shipping. And driving out and back would suck up the rest of my vacation allotment for the year. Maybe if I was retired...

I am giving BRBS some thought, although even that is about 500 miles too far away for serious consideration.

Insane???? Have you thought about the cost of making car and storage payments on a Porsche that you lock up and refuse to drive for 5-6 month's a year? Is this Sane?

Shipping it to California may be expensive, but I think that actually owning a Porsche Boxster here in New England may contribute in one form or another to our own insanity.

That's one kind of math I'd never do...

Still, I can't imagine $2k+ airfare + logistics to take part in this ride (even though it must be awesome). I'd rather get some seat time in Atlanta at the Porsche Driving Experience or rent a Boxster in Germany, since I think the costs would be similar.

On the other hand, you can rent a Boxster in Vegas for around $200/day. That would be my choice I guess.

Lightbulb TBHL

Well, let's just do a local event. Seems there is little interest in the Cayenne launch at IRA on March 16th. However, I will definitely be there. The NER newcomers meeting is always a good opportunity to renew friendships and bench race. Personally, I can't wait to get behind the wheel on the Cayenne. Anyone interesting in regional events - autocross, DE or rallies should come and see what PCA has to offer.
