2000 986 seat exchange with ???

I'm looking at cracked seat leather and pricing new covers...

I've also been checking out used seats delivered with leather in "nice" shape.

I'm assuming... "assume, that's ass out of you and me" that a universal bracket could go on my 2000 - 986 and newer 2011 seats could bolt on.

Something tells me I'm in the dark. That's why I'm asking.

'03 Black seats installed into my '00 Boxster S.

Removed the center back section of the old Savannah color and installed it into the black "new" seat...went in... easy.
Fold down the seat and from the back unclip the center back section from the bottom of the seat.

Push this through to the front. The center back is held by 3 clips at the top. Push up and with your hand behind the center section get one of the clips to release off the back frame of the seat. The other two will follow.

I might ... if brave enough... up grade the backing of my old center section. It looks like it would be easy to stretch the leather over the center back frame and push the "skin" back onto the frame clips.

My '00 seats were tired. Dried up and cracking.

Recent eBay look had center sections available $39 to $55 each. '97 - '04
