I did consider dropping the engine a few inches but it's really at the back, and not at the front, where the clearance is limited.
As for the wheels, the ones that you see in the video are not my track wheels. They have A/S tires on them. My track wheels are Porsche twists with RE-71Rs on them. Note:
I would love to get a set of hollow spokes!
