986s new engine
Hey 986forum members,
I had posed the question of getting a 996 turbo into a 986 and some of the replys had great info and lead to the conclusion that the work and money needed were too much. I am considering a 9a1 engine from a 2.7l caymen. I do know that there would be electrical to sort out. but my main question is will this engine drop in and bolt up to the existing mounts and gearbox? If so it offers closed deck construction, no IMS issue and more hp to boot granted not heaps. Any information is greatly appreciated!
