My god...

10am Sat morning here. Woke up 20min ago and was petrified to open the inbox. Did it anyway and found 31 kits gone :/

Coffee taste weird suddenly lollll looks Like I am going to be busy this weekend and possibly all of this coming week

Thanks guy, you guys a cool bunch. Feeling like I haven't wasted my time doing those miniature strips for the whole all of last week's evenings (had to do about 300 of those).

Really, REALLY, cool. Thx again x1,000,000

Awesome job. I just ordered my Mk2 upgrade.

I had missed a few emails from my headlight order because of the spam filter settings I had.
Glad I sorted that out and got the notification.

Note to others: Make sure "contact@gtprojectors.com" is on your safe list.

I think mine went to spam too. Please let me know if I can still buy a hard as diamond replacement.

Oh, if you come to COTA in 2016, please let me know. I'd love to say hello and buy a margarita for you.

Fred,

Don't want to be a nuisance but I placed my order on the gt projector website on 5/15 and the status still shows "processing". It's ok if it really is still processing but I was getting a little concerned after 10 days that the windscreen hadn't shipped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm amped to get my hands on your little beauty.

Thanks, Larry

Hi, I would like to order one of these, but I just have one question: is everything that's needed to install this in the kit, or do I need to already have the Porsche wind deflector in place to make this work? Thanks!

You need to already have a wind deflector. You reuse your frame and of course the clips.

Fred's essentially a one man show and works huge hours. Processing means you are in the queue. I waited a long time for the headlights because Fred was slammed, and it was worth it. I also have the wind deflector and it is also worth the wait.

Thx J, mate

I'm pulling those out this week and aiming at the mail this coming weekend. 52 kits total :/ and I've had two more this weekend which hopefully should go in this lot as well.

Spent the entire evening of Sunday and yesterday at the vet with J.J on drips/vitamins (my smaller Rottweiler). Poisoned by Insecticides sprayed in the villa I live in on Friday morning (we took the walk on Friday evening). No warning/notice from the management office on the application of those (welcome to my China all).

Has constant 105F fever (72hrs), 2y/old with creatine level up to 1.3mg... very likely a kidney failure or serious complications if he ever makes it out of this toxin

Any Vets on this forum, please get in touch (I pay cash/PayPal). I am loosing it here. I have many questions that my 'locally trained' vet here can't answer. E.g. atropine treatment

Sorry to hear about J.J.
You have probably already scoured the internet and available info, but here is some good info on organophosphate poisining from the Merck Vetrinary Manual:

Organophosphates (Toxicity): Insecticide and Acaricide (Organic) Toxicity: Merck Veterinary Manual

Treatment is at the end of the article:

"Three categories of drugs are used to treat OP poisoning: 1) muscarinic receptor–blocking agents, 2) cholinesterase reactivators, and 3) emetics, cathartics, and adsorbents to decrease further absorption. Atropine sulfate blocks the central and peripheral muscarinic receptor–associated effects of OPs; it is administered to effect in dogs and cats, usually at a dosage of 0.2–2 mg/kg (cats at the lower end of the range), every 3–6 hr or as often as clinical signs indicate. For horses and pigs, the dosage is 0.1–0.2 mg/kg, IV, repeated every 10 min as needed; for cattle and sheep, the dosage is 0.6–1 mg/kg, one-third given IV, the remainder IM or SC, and repeated as needed. Atropinization is adequate when the pupils are dilated, salivation ceases, and the animal appears more alert. Animals initially respond well to atropine sulfate; however, the response diminishes after repeated treatments. Overtreatment with atropine should be avoided. Atropine does not alleviate the nicotinic cholinergic effects, such as muscle fasciculations and muscle paralysis, so death from massive overdoses of OPs can still occur. Including diazepam in the treatment reduced the incidence of seizures and increased survival of nonhuman primates experimentally.

An improved treatment combines atropine with the cholinesterase-reactivating oxime, 2-pyridine aldoxime methochloride (2-PAM, pralidoxime chloride). The dosage of 2-PAM is 20–50 mg/kg, given as a 5% solution IM or by slow IV (over 5–10 min), repeated at half the dose as needed. IV 2-PAM must be given very slowly to avoid musculoskeletal paralysis and respiratory arrest. Response to cholinesterase reactivators decreases with time after exposure; therefore, treatment with oximes must be instituted as soon as possible (within 24–48 hr). The rate at which the enzyme/organophosphate complex becomes unresponsive to reactivators (due to ageing phenomenon) varies with the particular pesticide.

Removal of the poison from the animal also should be attempted. If exposure was dermal, the animal should be washed with detergent and water (about room temperature) but without scrubbing and irritating the skin. Emesis should be induced if oral exposure occurred <2 hr previously; emesis is contraindicated if the animal is depressed. Oral administration of mineral oil decreases absorption of pesticide from the GI tract. Activated charcoal (1–2 g/kg as a water slurry) adsorbs OPs and helps elimination in the feces. This is particularly recommended in cattle. Continued absorption of OPs from the large amount of ingesta in the rumen has caused prolonged toxicosis in cattle. Artificial respiration or administration of oxygen may be required. Phenothiazine tranquilizers, barbiturates, and morphine are contraindicated."

So Fred is the dog at home with you or still at the vets? He should be on a constant intravenous drip to combat the dehydration he would be experiencing. Poor thing. 105 fever is very dangerous. Sorry to hear that Fred. I really Hope he's in the hands of a good vet. Keep us briefed mate hope it all works out for poor little JJ ps keep him cool cold towels to keep down the temperature mate

Fred,

I'm so sorry about your dog and hope it all goes well. I got a refund from paypal and understand why things haven't progressed. I'm still interested in getting the windscreen but you need to take care of your family. As a pet owner, I understand how attached one gets and they really do get to be part of the family. In the future when things get back to normal, I'd still love to have the Skybreaker but it's not as important as what you're dealing with now.

Good luck with everything,
Larry

The same goes for me, my friend. Take care of JJ, I know how pets become family. Nothing like unconditional love from our four legged friends. My best wishes to all of your family.
