Weight Loss - Requesting a Guide

There have been some mention to losing weight off your Boxster to speed things up in recent posts.

Can we use this thread to document recommended weight loss for those who DON'T track their cars? IE- Keep the car looking relatively OEM but drop the weight.

Examples:
Seats?
Rims?
Exhaust?
DIY?
Battery?
Anything else?

Any input would be appreciated.

1. I always drive my 2.5L with a quarter of a tank of gas ;) I just never top off the gas tank on this car anyway (mind you, its a city car)

2. I also arrange for my rides to be for me-myself-alone (rarely need a passenger in the porsche car... mean style lol).

3. Spare tire delete? (I got stranded in a weird way so I can't really recommend this).

4. Clean and empty frunk & trunk works for me

5. Of course, performance wheels helps "a lot" but then... at a price

1. Recaro seats 42# form full leather heated power seat back 86#
2. Trunk liner battery covers spare tire sound deadening top motor carpet and front motor cover carpet 58 #
3. Stock Porsche 17" S II wheels 106# to 18" OG racing wheels X to 82#
4. Hankook Ventus Z214 from PS 2 23# on 4 tires Conti Sport contact 26#
5. Mufler Headers without cats. Mid pipes with 200 count cats. 55#
6. Stock battery 48# AGM 925 26#
7. Stock struts to Ksport lightened 24#

I guess that's about 274# plus the parts that improve the performance. I spend about 3 to 4 hours prepping the car for track days and the same putting it back on the street.

What would be nice to see are kits for Pcars meant for guys like Tucker or the track enthusiasts

2 Recarro seat
2 carbon fiber door panels & strap/handles
1 aftermarket carpeting (with less insulations)
1 Shehadehd's light acrylic engine cover

$2/3,000 kit something...

That could make a stunning racy interior that still look good for street use. Could shave half-ton(?!) on weight

-Spare tire - 30,1 lb/13,7kg
-CD changer& amp - 7,3 lb/3,3kg
-Carpets & wooden panel back trunk - 13,6 lb/6,2kg
-Carpets & plastic cover brake fluid
front trunk - 6,8lb/3,1kg
-Towing lug - 1,2lb/0,6kg
-Glove compartment behind seat/engine - 4,0lb/1,8kg
-Cutted off carpets just under
both seats(no sound difference) - 4,6lb/2,1kg
-Spare tire changer - 2,9lb/1,3kg
-Your girlfriend - 132,1lb/60,5kg
And yes, i feel the difference....:D

That will make very noisy inside with top on, with top off no sound difference.
