Looks like an amazing job with the cables. I would love to do this to my Boxster. Bump for good DIY.

Update: ordered a set and received them in the mail. Just as I thought, top notch work, thanks.

If I have the outside temp showing does that mean the OBC is on ?

Received the switch with the wires; very well done ! I have a question regarding the placement of the switch. Previously I've read that some switches are left or right only; that is that fit on one side of the air/heat console but not the other. All my slots on the right (passenger side ) are full; this leaves me with only the driver side. Will the switch work on the left (driver side ) ?

Second question: is a second switch required to make the "speed gong" operational ?

Jim

Im not sure if you can set the speed gong with a simple dash switch. I could provide a 4 stalk cable and you could add two switches I suppose to get the entire abilities....but I have no experience with that

We installed the OBC switch and have found the wiring job excellent; the switch now allows the function to cycle through. I have a couple of questions:

1. The switch has two buttons but only one seems to cause the OBC to cycle. Pressing the other side doesn't appear to have any effect ? Is this normal ?

2. Is there anyone out there who did the two (2) switch installation ? Would like clarification whether this allows setting the speed gong function

I would recommend Dwights harness to anyone wishing to use the OMC, it's a nice upgrade.

Hi PD,

I still have your switch harness you sent me, but I ended up buying a 4 stalk switch. Go figure. What modifications would need to be done to make the conversion from the switch harness to the 4 stalk harness.

Is the length the same?
Do I need to add 2 more wires with the connectors?

Thanks

PD,
Answered my own question. When I posted previously, I was at lunch on the work computer that doesn't allow photos. Sent you a PM.

[QUOTE=KRAM36;437246]4 Stalk is in and functioning perfectly. Thanks for the killer wire harness Pdwight!
Hi Kram,

I'm in the process of doing the same on mine using Pdwight's harness. My question, where did you find the shroud where the stalks protrude?

Or did you dremel the lower hole?

There is another one for sale by the same person I bought mine from.

The rubber shroud has pre marked indentations on the back side. All you need is a utility or exacto knife to cut it out.
