You are right about that. I added heated seats to my Boxster, and it definitely wasn't "plug and play." In contrast, when I installed some fog lights in my 96 G20, the wiring was sitting there patiently waiting for me behind both the bumper and the dashboard.

On the plus side, my soldering and wire-fishing skills have vastly improved through the Boxster modification process.
