What Castrol Oil?

I have been talking to several indys around here and this is the craziest thing i have heard. One local told me about another that (confirmed from him) his mobile one rep offered him a bet to carry only mobile products.

Told him to run moblie one synthetic in his personal cars and only______ change the filter every 5000 miles and top off oil. If the engine goes mobile one will replace, that was four years and 96,000 miles ago on wifes dd.

He now swears by mobile oil and will not allow anything else in his shop.

meaning? he replaced the filter and added only the amount of oil he lost while the filter was out for 4 years / 96k miles?
