rear trunk lid pistons

The two pistons that hold the rear trunk lid open have worn out and won't hold the trunk open. Assume I can get these online somewhere and install them. Anyone know how these come off the ball and socket mount? Looks easy to work on the connection to the lid but looks tight between the rear fender and the trunk gasket.

Pliers or straight slot screw driver

Check out the thread below; helped me replace mine.

What tools are needed to replace the rear trunk shocks?

Not too hard if you have a pair of small pliers or flat head screw driver.

Thanks. Expensive little buggers. Looked online and they are $29 each although I guess any part less than $100 is a "deal".
