Replacing Roof Parts (tension cables & red rod)

To anyone that knows,

My top stopped working. The passenger side appeared to be stuck (in the down position). The driver side attempts to rise when closing, but can't get pass a certain point because the other side won't go up. After reading a few post on this forum I was able to put the top into service mode. While prying one of the arms off (the one with the red cap end) I broke the red cap thing.

I want to replace the arm with the red cap and the tension cable that raises and lowers the roof. Does anyone know where I can get these parts (assuming the dealer is over priced)? How much do they normally cost?

*2001 Boxster

Thanks in advance,
-Groove

The dealer will sell only the entire push rod that includes the ball cap (they replaced the red ones with white ones that apparently are more resistant to cracking): http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=98656127902&Category_Code=986top

Or, you can buy just the ball caps from a seller on ebay. This guy sells just the 2 ball caps for around $42 bucks: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-plastic-cap-2-Top-push-rod-boxster-986-987_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2 Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3 a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem 2c4f0d3edeQQitemZ190304829150QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fT ruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
