Removing the trunk crest

Hi, my Boxster crest is broken. I have to remove it and replace it. I am sure many of you replaced it already. Can you give me, tips about what to use to do it and what can I use to take out the glue after.

Thank's

Try a hair dryer and dental floss to remove the old emblem. Lots of detail spray and rubbing should remove the rest. Try a search and you'll get more info.

I did the same yesterday. Pre-heat with an hair dryer and use dental floss and saw under the emblem to cut the neoprene type glue. Did remote about all of the glue by finger and uses Bug & Tar remover spray to help. Did put some wax and install the new emblem. Helping thing, if you are replacing the old emblem by exactly the same new one, you should see the letters on the car as peint color is not the same. That will help you to stick the new one exactly at the same place.

Bonne chance et utilise beaucoup d'huile de bras mais c'est facile et le résultat fascinant!

If you need a replacement Boxster emblem, I have a new one that is silver colored (Paid $30 but I'll let it go for $20). I left my trunk badgeless and never opened the new emblem. I believe it is the Titanium Silver from Eagle Day.

A little bit of elbow grease and she'll come right off. Are you using a standard Boxster decall or going with a 986 emblem?

Took mine off yesterday...going to leave blank for now. Use wd-40 to loosen the glue. use floss to take off the emblem. Clean off and put a light coat of wax over the area. The wd-40 won't damage anything. Took me about 10 minutes from start to finish
