$8000 OBO - 2002 Porsche Boxster (3.4L 996 Engine Swap)

Hi all,

I have a 2002 Porsche Boxster with a 3.4L 996 engine swap for sale.
Chassis currently has 292,XXX miles
996 Engine has ~ 180,000 miles
Asking $8000 OBO.

This is a very well taken care of car that's pretty been taken care of (since the swap) at a Porsche specialist shop in Worcester, MA. I have almost all of the service records on hand from the shop. This was owned by the shop owner's family for a breif period before they got a Cayman S and decided to sell it. I have been doing DIY maintenance myself. The car is surprisingly easy to work on. More than happy to provide a CARFAX if desired.

No the IMS hasn't been replaced, but the fact that it's still running strong at this mileage, I'd say it's safe bet that it's not an issue with this engine.

Since I've owned the car I've replaced the following:
Air Oil Separator
Air filter
Cabin Filter
AC & Heating Fan
Oil Change - no shiney particles in oil filter so IMS is clear
Passenge Window Regulator
HVAC LCD Screen

What needs attention:
Radio Display - The radio works, I have a bluetooth adaptor working, but the display won't show anything.
Cup Holder - The drivers side cup holder won't stay closed (common issue with these early Boxsters). Passenger cup holder is fine since I never open or use it.

I have a rolling excel sheet to keep track of service intervals & keep track of the engine mileage. Happy to share that as well.

Photo's are from summer before some of the gremlins popped up, but more than happy to email and post more. Also happy to provide the engine serial # along with photo of it as proof.

What are some of the gremlins that popped up?

Blue interior is a start for me. Still have old seats or know what seats those are?

Gremlins were the two things that I listed before, it was the cup holder no longer going back to its spot and the radio display just dying. I had photos of it working during the summer.

Old seats were removed from the very first owner. According to the shops Invoice/Work Order the following items were installed back in 2011:

REC SLIDER KIT (Recaro Slider Kit 986,996 Drivers) - REC 86.26.16
REC SLIDER KIT R (Recaro Slider Kit 986,996 Passenger) - REC 86.26.26
REC SPEED S/O (Recaro SPEED S/O 986,996 w Sub Belt) - REC SPD 00.002 S/O

The seats are comfy to me, but they also have lumbar support that you can manually adjust with a manual pump (you can kind of see it in the photo with the passengers side open).
