2001 Boxster for Sale - Utah
Finally selling my baby. I've owned this car since 2016.
Happy to answer any questions. https://cars.ksl.com/listing/8174368 I am selling my pride and joy for the last 6 years, my 2001 Porsche Boxster. This car has been extremely special to me over the years. I bought it in 2016 from a family member. The car has been in my family since around 2015 and around 70k miles. I live in Orem but I can meet anywhere from South Salt Lake to Payson. Willing to go further on arrangement. I listed the address as the Orem Walmart. I could talk for hours about this car, so please reach out if you have any questions at all. Text preferred and we can set up a time to call and talk about the car. Overall, she is an absolute blast to drive and has treated me right since I first bought her. I am only selling her because I have other vehicles now and just don't have time to enjoy driving her. I've put very few miles (less than 5k) in the last year. Here is what has been replaced since I've owned the vehicle. I used OEM or german brand name parts wherever possible. I have a stack of receipts from PelicanParts from over the years. I also have a big ole stack of parts that I will throw in. Listed at the bottom. This is my personal photography portfolio with more high quality pictures of the car. https://fofojoe.com/automotive I am asking $9700 cash. Reach out via KSL messages or text via my phone number. 360sixninezerosix5six4 MECHANICAL IMS bearing professionally replaced with the LN Engineering Kit De-snorkeled intake Oil just changed with Mobil-1 full synthetic (receipt included) Clutch Flywheel (factory dual mass) Slave cylinder Rear main seal (original was leaking, hasn't leaked a drop since) Transmission mounts Motor mount NGK Spark plugs and Beru coil packs installed around 15k miles ago Eibach lowering springs Front shock mounts, bearing plates, coil spring pads Sway bar end links and bushings (front and rear) Full TopSpeedAuto exhaust with new exhaust clamps Coolant tank cap (newest model) Water pump (OEM Porsche coolant used, way overpriced) (receipt included) w/180f thermostat Serpentine belt Replaced brake pads/rotors, resealed brake calipers Alternator rebuilt professionally (receipt included) Power steering high pressure line Short Shift Kit w/Function Form shift arm and knob (both short and long arm included) Bridgestone RE980AS tires (less than 2k miles on rear) Carerra III 18x8, 18x10 wheels (off a 2009-12 911) ECS spacers ( 15mm front, 18mm rear) (extra spacer set included) ECS extended wheel bolts (original set included) Front radiators cleaned (bumper removed) Frunk and trunk struts replaced ELECTRICAL Ignition switch Clutch pedal ignition switch E-brake switch Side marker bulbs replaced Brake light bulbs replaced LED interior light, frunk light and trunk light Viper 2 way keyless entry system with 993 keyhead on factory key Bypassed faulty brake pad life sensors 12v dual USB ports, 5v 2amp on switched power direct to battery Electric top relay bypass (can retract top in motion with ebrake switch pressed) Manual control over front high speed radiator fans via switch Full audio system: Focal Access speakers (165AC in door, ICU100 in dash) Kenwood BT radio (KDCX701) Alpine 5 channel amp (PDR-V75) Custom rear shelf subwoofer box (Pioneer 8” subwoofers) Known problems Turn signal issue I recently replaced the headlights with well-reviewed LED headlights. Immediately after I had the following issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21uzmrdZk-k I believe the issue is either in the turn signal stalk or the headlight wiring. I'll be investigating the issue further but the issue persisted with the original headlights back in. Noisy passenger window (still works) The passenger window creaks when coming up/down but still works just fine. I believe the window regulator is stretched/needs adjustment. There are threads on 986forum about this issue and I can elaborate further if needed. Washer spray bottle leak This is a minor issue and I plan on finding the time to fix this. Basically the lower hose on the washer spray bottle slips off, and I just need to jack up the car, remove the driver side wheel well and throw a hose clamp on it. Common issue on these Boxsters. CEL P0139 and P0159 (post cat O2 sensors) The car has no cats. I lived in a county without emissions originally and did not have to pass. Currently the car is registered registered in Washington State through March 2023. I can get the car to the emissions "ready" state but I have not tried passing emissions here in Utah. Willing to talk about this further.
